Dial-up Accounts
33.6k & 56k modems

You must be a RollaNet member to use RollaNet modem dial-up services. In order to sustain the mission of RollaNet contributions are encouraged. Our standard dial-ups offer 33.6k & 56k connections.

Membership Levels
Several membership levels are offered: public, residential and organizational. All accounts are provided with one email account, access up to 10 hours per day, and up to 5mb of disk storage on our server for your web pages.

Public [Free]
Public member dial-ups are free. These accounts are offered as a public service to provide equitable access to everyone in the community. Because the public dial-ups are supported by the contributions of our Residential and Organizational members, Public accounts have dial-up access to the "limited" modem pool which has fewer modems than our "preferred" modem pool. The limited modem pool consists of analog modems which support connections at 33.6k. Dial-up sessions are limited to 1 hour at a time, after which you will be disconnected. You may redial an unlimited number of times until you have reached the 10 hour per day limit.

Residential [$180/yr. or $15/mo.]

Residential member dial-ups require a minimum contribution of $180/year by check or $15/month by automatic debit from your checking or savings account. RollaNet is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation, and because Residential and Organizational memberships support the public dial-ups and other community projects, your payment is considered a donation and may be deducted from your income taxes each year. Residential members have dial-up access to the "preferred" modem pool, which has many more modems than our "limited" pool, therefore there are far fewer busy signals. These modems support 56k connections, although at very busy times the calls may roll over to the 33.6k modems. Sessions are limited to 4 hours at a time, after which you will be disconnected. You may redial and reconnect for another 4 hour session for an unlimited number of times per day.

Organizational [$300/yr. or $25/mo.]
Organizational member dial-ups require a minimum contribution of $300/year by check or $25/month by authomatic debit from your checking or savings account. RollaNet is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation, and because Residential and Organizational memberships support the public dial-ups and other community projects, your payment is considered a donation and may be deducted from your income taxes each year.
